Unix (AIX/Solaris) Admin Reqs with CSC Noida/Hyd/Chennai

Job Description  
o Administering Data center with 24* 7 support for 900+ Unix Boxes with HACMP Clusters in US.
o Installation, Configuration, Performance monitoring in production servers. (i.e. RS/6000 and pSeries server).
o Performed all standard system administration on Unix machines (users, groups, backup etc).
o Installing and Configuring third party software in server to confirm with company security Policy.
o Collecting data and implementing Operating system upgrades (Unix) to the latest available maintenance levels, latest microcodes, installing APAR’s.
o Administering of External storage of ESS.
o Create LVM structures based on requirement provided by application owner.
o Performed storage migration between IBM ESS to SVC storage on Cluster server.
o Backing up & Restoring File System on a Regular Schedule through IBM TSM.
o Scheduling jobs through crontabs.
o Working and troubleshooting on day-to-day problems via opening and closing tickets.
o Participating in change record meeting and approving changes.
o Working on new server builds for new projects including Unix servers and coordinating with different groups to achieve target date.

o Administering Data center with 24* 7 support for 60+ Unix Boxes with HACMP Clusters in Chennai and DR
site in Malaysia.
o Perform initial Problem Determination/Problem Source Identification, which includes searching database(s)
for rediscovery/similar problems, perform remote access of client machine, when applicable, transfer problem
ownership to Problem Management Records(PMR) through IBM, gather pertinent data for recreation/follow
up research before transfer the call.
o Installation, Configuration, Performance monitoring in production servers. (i.e. RS/6000).
o Performed all standard system administration on Unix machines (users, groups, backup etc).
o Installing and Configuring ESM server to conform with company security Policy.
o Create LVM structures based on requirement provided by application owner.
o Increasing the file systems on the fly.
o External storage are maintained through ESS (IBM 2105-F20 & SSA 7133-D40)
o Performed storage migration between IBM 24265 to SVC storage.
o Management of Health checking issues and actions on all the applications.
o Backing up & Restoring File System on a Regular Schedule.
o Scheduling jobs through crontabs.
o Installed and Maintained Software Packages & Patch’s.
o Working and troubleshooting on day-to-day problems via opening and closing tickets.
