Job Description
•Good all-round technical knowledge of LAN/WAN network equipment (CISCO & Nortel specifically), technologies, protocols and communication standards (eg. Ethernet, 100BaseT, ISDN, TCP/IP suite)
•Expertise in network design and IP addressing architectures
Familiar with the design, implementation and operation of data VPN solutions
•Familiar with designing and managing Firewall systems specifically Checkpoint and Cisco PIX
•Familiar with cabling standards and specifications (eg. UTP category 5, single and multi mode fibre)
•Familiar in the design and development of corporate remote access solutions
•Familiar in the design and operation of e-commerce based solutions including knowledge of SSL and load balancing technologies
•Familiar with the design and implementation of DNS/DHCP/WINS services
•Knowledge of network analysers and their use (eg. Network General Sniffer)
•Knowledge of Server and PC operating systems.

Professional Certification is essential – At least one of CCNA, CCDA, CCDP or equivalent
