Job Description  

  • Self-motivated and quick-learner who can take the full ownership of designs from concept to support
    Work independently; Require less oversight/assistance
  • Understand stakeholder’s expectations and objectives 
  • Ensure processes are followed at all stages of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Participate/host calls independently with onshore business and technology team 
  • Should be able to understand the problem and recommend solutions during JAD/discussions/meetings
  • Reviewing requirements specifications and other documents received from the stateside or LoB 
  • Prepare and/or review Impact Analysis, HLD and LLD
  • Develop & unit test Complex Programs/Component
  • Conduct Code Review & Root Cause Analysis
  • Follow/implement waterfall methodology
  • Suggest process improvements to achieve or exceed desired quality

Desired Profile Primary Technical Skills (Strong Expertise):

Technology

  • Power Builder v11.2 – Preference
  • Power Builder v10.0 – must if the candidate has not worked on PB v11.2
  • MS Windows Workflow
  • Strong experience in developing and maintain window base Client/Server (N-Tier) applications
  • Database
  • Informix or Sybase 
  • must have skills to write SQL & Stored Procedures
  • Configuration Management
  • Borland Star Team (any other configuration management tool)
  • Design Tools
  • 3+ years of Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming (recent)
  • 1 + years of experience with Object Oriented Design (more recent)
  • MS Visio
  • Communication
  • Capable of clear and concise communication with customers, clients and other non-technical people 
  • Should be able to participate or conduct conference calls with stateside team 
  • SDLC
  • Waterfall Development Methodology
  • Exposure to Agile methodology

Secondary Technical Skills (Optional):

  • UNIX, Shell scripting
  • IBM Web Sphere
  • C / C++ / Core Java
  • MS .Net (C#)

Other Skills (Required); 

  • Experience in Banking Domain, preferably Credit Card technology
  • Experience in distributed application development
  • Preferably has been onsite (US only) and has experience working with Business or Tech Support team

- B.E./ B Tech / M.E./M Tech 
- M.C.A (with B.Sc., B Com, BBM)
- M.Sc. (Computer Science, IT, S/W, Mathematics, Electronics, Physics, Statistics)
