Position: Technical Programme Application Engineer

Position Summary:

The person recruited to this position will work within the SeaChange International – TV Navigator: Technical Programmers Team based in India. TV Navigator is a leading IPTV middleware for digital Set Top boxes, which provides a TV application development environment for broadcasters, network operators and tele-media content companies.

 

  1. The emphasis will be on customer service, technical proficiency and self initiative. The candidate should have excellent HTML/JavaScript/CSS/DOM experience.
  2. TV and Media design and application experience is highly desirable.
  3. Work with third party content developers and provide support and product experience skills
  4. Will aid integration of applications with SeaChange and third party application servers, services and systems.
  5. Provide professional oral and written system status to customer, company management and engineering
  6. Actively participate in any customer conference calls
  7. Assist engineering in the implementation and testing of new products
  8. Provide skills and product training to customer
  9. Troubleshoot extensive and complex applications with the ability to resolve root cause issues and document the problem and resolution

Technical Skills

  • Software engineering Excellent HTML/javaScript/CSS/DOM required (5+ years experience). C’, C++, Java skills desirable.
  • Knowledge of Unix and scripting skills (perl, php, cshell/tshell) desirable
  • Graphic and UI design desirable
  • Fluent in Hindi and English, oral and written
  • Note: Up to 80% travel, both domestic and international
