Job Description
ibruk Consulting is the Indian arm of a Scandanavian documentation and training major, ibruk AS. We are looking for experienced and aspiring technical writers to join our fast growing operations in India. As a technical writer, you will be creating user and technical manuals, online help, case studies, white papers, specification documents, etc for clients such as IBM, Aker Kaeverner, Datamatics, Mastek, Rolls Royce, Siemens, Zycus, IBM, and more. You will: – Interact with the client’s team to understand the solution and technical writing requirements. – Work with others in the team and the client to design the technical writing deliverables required by the client. – Design the look and feel of the deliverable. – Write the content for deliverable. Typical deliverables include user manuals, online help, case studies, data sheets, API documentation, white papers, proposals, training material, courseware, parts manuals, technical references, etc.

Requirements
You should also: – Have 1-5 years experience as a Technical Writer or Senior Technical Writer. – Have proven experience in technical writing, instructional design, courseware development, editing and/or content development. – Be proficient in English and MS Office. – Have an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering innovative solutions that will help the users get the best out of the product. – Have the ability to look beyond the surface, research and add value to the deliverable in terms of domain expertise and functionality. Delighting the customer is what we aim for. – Be able to work with minimal supervision. – Have good communication skills. You will have an advantage if you have: – Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker. – Have a qualification in, exposure to, or experience in the banking and finance domain.
