SW Test Engineer

Job Description  

  • The Test Engineer is a key contributor individually or as a member of the team.
  • Personnel at this level are expected to serve in a lead role with minimal guidance.
  • The successful candidate will take a role in assuring the quality of PC SW’s products on Windows.

Key Responsibilties\Tasks:

  • Responsible for developing the test cases and test scripts, and product testing activities for each release cycle. 
  • Executes manual test specifications, recording and reporting results in accordance to the Test Plan (for each release cycle). 
  • Responsible for installing, configure & administer the products with an understanding of product customization & application development.Participate in review of test artifacts test designs, test cases, test scripts. 
  • Reports Defects using the defect tracking system. 
  • Verifies resolution of resolved defects. 
  • Performs analysis of test failures. Responsible for reviewing all defects found during the testing cycle with QA Lead and development team.
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining the software test environment

Desired Profile  

ME or BE degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject
SW test planning and test execution experience in MS Windows environment
Good spoken and written English
Experience in scripting (VB script)
